A Spoonful of Africa is an autobiographical recipe book spanning 56 years of the author's life detailing family events, relationships and personal tragedies. The story describes their relocation from England to South Africa in the 70's and moving from one place to the other in South Africa until finally settling in the beautiful and historical Cape. Each chapter is followed by the recipes pertaining to that period. The recipes are both traditional and informative. This is a wonderful record of cooking and life.
