Yvonne is a firm believer in 'signs', 'dreams' and 'higher forces' that have guided her life and firmly believes that we need to shift the way in which we deal with health issues generally, but particularly in mental health. "It requires a collective and collaborative effort by many trained and volunteer workers across many sectors of the allied and medical health industries. It is what is referred to as a 'village approach'," she says. "We want to set up Sanctuaries where people of all ages, race and religion can go to receive the help they need; to be cared for in a gentle, loving environment... a place where they will feel safe and properly cared for regardless of their financial circumstances and not to be 'committed' into a mental institution." This is a shared vision that Yvonne has with many friends, colleagues, world healers and enlightened leaders. But we cannot effect change if we don't sell books.
