'This book is a collection of three genres of folk songs of the Muong people. Dang is a traditional folk song of Muong which has very diverse content, reflecting the relationship between people and people, people and nature and society, to express human's love in the form of verbal art. Hinh is a traditional folk song which is sung during the holidays, weddings, greetings to bride and groom, warming new house. The contents of Hinh are ussually old stories, with light tones. Run is an ancient folk song which sung by couple to express their feelings, personal responses to each other. Therefore contents are usually short and gone with a musical instrument of lip lute. Each chapter includes Muong folk songs introduced in bilingual form (Vietnamese - Muong transliteration).
