This book is the Vietnamese translation of Jacques Dournes' POTAO (Paris, Flammarion, 1977), published by the Hanoi centre of the French School of Asian Studies (EFEO) in cooperation with the Institude of Culture (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences). This publication was edited by Andrew Hardy. It is published within the research programme History and Heritage of Central Vietnam, a programme of scientific cooperation linking the EFEO's centre in Hanoi and the Institude of Archaeology (Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences), funded by the Ford Foundation, the Agence Francaise de Developpement, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Academie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres.
