Tibetan Buddhism has prevailed in the Indian sub-continent for a very long time. It is known fact that the emergence of Buddhism was and is credited to India, and there is no doubt about its existence in the sub-continent. Tibetan Buddhism that prevailed in Tibet, and which to some extent still exists there, has also migrated into and found its base in some places within India especially after 1959 when the migration that took place.
