The Karagwe Kingdom: A History of the Banyambo of North-west Tanzania c. 1400-1915 is a narrative of events in the kingdom and the life if its people, the Banyambo, from the beginnings to collapse under German rule. Base on oral tradition, archaeological findings and documentation, the book also sheds light on the rest of the Great Lakes region of East and Central Africa whose peoples and states share a lot with those of Karagwe.
