Thai people in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces have many customs and traditions that contain unique human values. These practices have been formed and developed in the course of history and have become laws, lifestyles and cultural characteristics. It can be said that folk beliefs and family rituals play an important role in the cultural and social life of the Thai people. The rituals and beliefs that people are practicing express their conception, thinking and behavior towards the world around them. In recent years, changing socio-economic conditions have led to changes in many aspects of traditional life, including folk beliefs and family rituals. The main contents of this book include studies on traditional folk beliefs of the Thai people; relationship, exchange, influence and cultural change between Thai people and Kinh and Muong people in Nghe An and Thanh Hoa provinces.
