Present edited volume intends to highlight those individuals whose contributions in mapping regional history are immense. Although innumerable research based books, monographs being published pertaining the history of North Bengal, but there still remains larger domains to be explored. So in this context articles compiled in the present edited volume prefers to chose those personalities whose despite having contributions in the study of regional history of North Bengal, still remains in a state of comparative oblivion.
