With this book, the group of authors has tried to clarify the most important issues of each department and each literary period through trends and some typical authors in the influence of historical, cultural and social conditions. From literature in the early period, through more than a thousand years of Northern colonialism, to the patriotic wars and later the period of renewal and integration, from folklore to written literature, each period, each part has its ideological characteristics, tendencies, genre and there are typical representatives of the Brief History of Vietnamese Literature that has generalized and summarized many achievements of the study of Vietnamese literary history in recent years, showing a new way of looking at the literary process as well as the movement of literature in the current period.
