An Interactive History for Schools and Colleges is a response to providing a reading material to meet the Inadequacy of history textbooks in schools and colleges. Examination bodies like WAEC and NECO have consistently in their annual reports indicates the inadequacy of textbooks in history as the reason for students' poor performance in the subject. This was further observed by the authors of this book as a prime reason why there are low enrolments in the subject. The book was carefully designed to address all these issues. The book is concise and all encompassing. Students and other readers will never be bored when reading the text as issues are presented straight to the point. The usual long essays were broken into short headings and itemized for easy comprehension and memory retention. Again, students now have one textbook containing all the aspects of History in their scheme of work as the book cover topics ranging from History of Nigeria as well as those of Africa and the Wider World.
