This book highlights the challenges of preserving the primitive vision of the United Nations, which is not a tangible document but a spirit or light. We argue that while countries have National Archives to preserve and share records that trace the story of their nation, government, and people, vision is something that needs to be passed on from generation to generation. Our conviction is that the drought of custodians of the United Nations’ vision is a major shortcoming of world politics in modern times. Unforgettable failures of the United Nations, including the Covid-19 health crisis and the war in Ukraine, have led people to question the relevance of the UN in today’s world and making a reform necessary. However, any reform must be grounded in an accurate understanding of the United Nation’s purposes and original vsion. Reforms must be grounded in empirical substances rather than emotional grounds. Finally, the Security Council of the United Nations, is the policy wellspring of the United Nations. While the Security Council has Permanent Membership, Veto Power, and Non-Permanent Membership, its compromise with the interests of its permanent members has led to failures in resolving inter-state conflicts. There is a need for specific indications or evidence to initiate peacekeeping missions, for inappropriate application of peacekeeping missions can lead to deontology delinquency. A reform of the Organization must address these issues and ensure that the United Nations is fulfilling its original vision.
