The book Travels of My Life is the sum total of the travel stories by the author in and out of the country until the summer of 2023. Interestingly it starts with the story of his birth and childhood travels with his family. He describes the travels of his youth with his father and as a young man with his friends in interesting details. As a young student in Dhaka University, he has travelled to the then almost inaccessible areas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts as a member of a hiking team. During his government service years, the author had limited opportunities of visiting foreign countries but he travelled to every nook and corner of the country and also had the opportunity of visiting few foreign countries. He recalls some of them in great details. After his retirement his interest in travelling was further whetted. He travelled to some very interesting places like the Andaman, Cuba and Uzbekistan. These are not in the list of usual travel destinations of the average traveller. The book covers travels all across Europe, Asia and parts of America in 30 chapters. They are all full of interesting details. The author looks at the places he visited from various different aspects like a bit of history, something about the economy, the people etc. These facts make the reading interesting.
