It is the desire of the Iloilo Critics Circle to produce the Iloilo Art Review annually to stimulate critical thinking among stakeholders and spark public discourse around art while anticipating its fair share of criticism due to its internal processes and limitations. It hopes to sustain the initiative under the conditions of inclusivity and diversity; as such, while it is centered in Iloilo, the Iloilo Critics Circle will make an effort to touch the regional scope in a manner that is selective and non-representational, and when the availability of resources is at hand. More than anything, the Iloilo Critics Circle is here to utilize art criticism so that art viewers can arrive at their own meanings and empower them to pass judgment on artworks and artists, and even art critics.
