The book details the life history of the author from his birth in 1944 through his various experiences as a primary school pupil, a secondary school student and a university student, culminating in his experiences as a university academic in the University of Ibadan where he logged in some 28 and a half years. Written in a smooth flowing prose, the book details his various experiences with his parents, as a worker in the produce inspection service, and briefly in the United Kingdom. The author gives a striking account of his difficult days at home, during which he encountered some horrifying experiences, which but for the grace of God, could have resulted in his loss. The experiences from the difficult murky days, during which his very life often hung on a thin thread, through his struggles to the successful completion of his secondary school career, to his trainings as an NCE teacher and later at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, are well documented here. Through it all, one can decipher the hand of the Almighty at work.
