Unlike historical national identities such as the Greek, Egyptian, Chinese, Russian, Iranian or Turkish identities, Pakistani identity is of extremely recent origins. Yet this relatively new identity has already become firmly rooted. Thus, the question: "What is Pakistaniat?" This first-ever book on the subject of Pakistaniat precisely identifies the elements that contribute to the unique national identity of the Pakistani people. Some of these elements may well be shared with the peoples of other countries.
