The Growth of Christianity in Ondo Province (1875 to 1935) by Bishop Matthew Owadayo is the first comprehensive account of the spread of Christianity in what was then described as 'Ondo country' which comprised present day Ondo and Ekiti states. In the 1870s, Ondo Province was largely an uncharted territory before the advent of the CMS mission. This book presents the efforts of the missionaries to educate and christianize the Ondo/Ekiti people, their trials, tribulations and determination to spread the Gospel.
