Experiencing vast simplifications and adaptations in their current lifestyle, the survival of the Baba and Nyonya identity lies within the willingness of the Baba and Nyonya themselves in accepting further change and shift in their identity. Instead of clinging to their colourful past, members of the Baba and Nyonya community must acknowledge the fluid nature of their Identity while bearing in mind that evolution was and still is the foundation of the Baba and Nyonya identity. Their ability to strike a balance between the past and present greatly affects the future of Baba and Nyonya.
