This book is a collection of opinion articles that Khairil has penned and published, most of them in The Jakarta Post, over the past decade. They are writings that relate to major events or development of the day, but the ideas and the arguments remain as current and relevant today. Reading them individually give us insights into the specific challenges and solutions Indonesia is facing. Reading them in chronological order, as presented in this book, takes us on the spiritual journey or inner struggle, or jihad as Khairil calls it, of a teacher that is concerned about the future and wellbeing of Indonesia.
