The substantive law rules relating to maritime law are regulated in Articles 931 to 1400 of the fifth book of the Turkish Commercial Code No. 6102 ("TCC"). Maritime law is the area where the foreign element is most frequently present within the meaning of the Code on Private International Law and Procedural Law No. 5718. In this respect, this study aims to translate the aforementioned provisions of the TCC into English. During the preparation of the study, the corresponding sources of the TCC provisions have been reviewed and the terms used in the English texts of the corresponding international conventions or in the English translations of the relevant domestic laws have been taken into consideration. The glossary presented at the conclusion of the book contains the terms that have been used in the study.
