Mekong Clash and Far East Crisis describes the 1930s and 40s a period in Thailand's history which has received somewhat less attention than most other eras. Mekong Clash and Far East Crisis is a reprint of an account originally published in August 1941, of the events leading up to and including Thailand's brief conflict with French Indochina in late 1940 and early 1941. The events of this little-studied period culminated in Thailand's victorious occupation of portions of Cambodia and Laos, resulting in the alteration of a portion of Thailand's Indochina border.
