This publication is the result of research conducted over several years after the end of the war. The research sought to elicit the views of diverse groups of people on how they engaged with 26 years of armed conflict. Scholarly work finds that narratives of conflict are often framed in a hegemonic and homogenized manner. This leaves little room for diverse narratives and pluralistic memories of events and can lead to a silence of the diverse memories people hold.
