An architectural decorative painting is a painting created on all the architectural details that make up that architecture. Thus, architectural decorative paintings can be created inside and outside architecture, fences, gates or even pillars... With the ambition to identify a painting line, the author has tried his best to classify and select typical architectural decorative folk paintings of Vietnam, introducing a number of architectural decorative painting lines of ethnic groups (Kinh, Hoa, Khmer and some ethnic groups in the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam). Hopefully, in the future, there will be researchers who can study and expand more about paintings and patterns in Vietnamese architectural decoration. People appreciate more the cultural values hidden in Vietnamese folk paintings.
