The book "Weaving A Dynasty", written in bilingual English – Vietnamese, is a book about the ancient costumes of the Vietnamese people, during the first half of the Le So dynasty (1437 – 1471). The authors of this book are Vietnamese children living on continents around the world. Textiles have historically been a sophisticated technical discipline and are deeply linked to economic prosperity and national identity. Vietnam's autonomous dynasties when creating national institutions often put costumes as one of the priority factors. That is the origin of the name for the book "Weaving A Dynasty"—we want to tell the story of building the "identity" of the nation-state through the superficial story of weaving and sewing.
