"Conversation with Painting" is like a small portrait of the history of modern Vietnamese art because there are enough painters from the first generation, the generation of painters who studied at the Indochina School of Fine Arts, followed by painters who studied the Resistance War Course, painters from the Doi Moi Period and later. The conversation is close and simple with colleagues even though there is still criticism, reasoning and art history in it. Because the writer is the one who draws, in that conversation there will be technical and professional stories, "side stories", and other professional working stories that writers who are not painters rarely mention in detail.
