Exploring Hanoi's Banana Garden – through the excavation season 2004-2005 ; ; Over the past 50 years, there have been 11 archaeological excavations conducted at the Banana Garden ruins. In particular, the large-scale excavation in 2024 – 2025 on an area of 6000 m2 will be implemented in the western half of the relic, which is considered the largest excavation for a relic of the Metal Age in Vietnam. The value of the archaeological relics of Banana Garden is further enhanced when archaeologists during the excavation process have clarified the factories of making jade stones, wooden furniture, architectural vestiges of longhouses to the graveyard that have developed continuously through the cultural periods of Phung Nguyen – Dong Dau – Go Mun – Dong Son and Hau Dong Son. These are the typical evidences of the ancient Vietnamese civilization that has indigenous origins, and at the same time is a solid testament to the Hung King era in the history of the nation.
