Product Description

A Study on the condition and struggles of agricultural workers in different parts of the world, in Asia particularly, contributes a great deal to advocacy and direct actions by peasants. This study has been launched precisely to create that contribution. This study aims to describe the current economic, political and cultural state of agricultural workers in selected plantation farms in the Philippines, India and Sri Lanka, as affected by neoliberal policies and programmes. More importantly, it aims to lay down the strategies that would be most effective at country and regional levels in confronting globalization and asserting agricultural workersÂ’ rights, access and control over their resources.
