The world population is ageing. In Sri Lanka too, the problem of ageing of its population is evident. A thorough knowledge of both the health and psycho social problems faced by the elderly is a must if one were to improve the health and the quality of life of this population. In this regard the book titled “Ageing Gracefully”written by Dr. Chandrika Jayasinghe is a very valuable and a timely contribution to achieve these objectives.
