‘A Decade in the Village’ by Mahinda Jayaweera was indeed a rare, and a pleasurable experience. It deals with a plethora of themes touching on almost every aspect of human activity particularly in village life: the family relationships of the people, their economy, historical and other events that shape their destinies, their education and the romance in their lives too.
