Mangroves in Langkawi are among the richest in the region. Some of the rare mangrove species included Rhizophora lamarckii, R. stylosa, Bruguiera sexangula, and Xylocarpus rumphii. Many studies have already been done on the flora of Langkawi, but thus far, there has not been any documentation in the form of an illustration or pictorial.
