This book provides a summary of the current status of contemporary Korean dance along with major dancers and dance companies. In addition to introducing dancers who are actively performing, the cultural milieu of dance and the philosophy of traditional Korean dance with its history and modernization will be explained in order to illuminate how Korean dance has come to be what it is today.
