Lana is a nurse at a clinic for frail elderly people. After one of the men in her care passes away, she meets his wife; shortly thereafter also his son, who has travelled from London for the funeral. She recognises him immediately: it is Conrad, the man with whom she had a brief affair a decade ago. What is more, Conrad asks her to accompany his mother on a visit to his sister. Without being able to understand the reasons for her decision, Lana agrees, and the two women set off on their journey to the south. . .
