One of the most spectacular historical structures in Namibia, and its builder, the fascinating Hansheinrich von Wolf, originally from Dresden and later captain in the Imperial Colonial Forces in German South West Africa, Have both long been the stuff of legends in Namibia. The author, in preparation for his forthcoming biographical novel about Hansheinrich, who, together with his young American wife Jayta, Sought to make his African dream come true at Duwisib, has undertaken extensive research on both Duwisib and the von wolfs.
