The twenty essays printed in this book are intended to serve as a companion volume to K. Paddayya's recent publication entitled Multiple Approaches to the Study of India's Early Past: Essays in Theoretical Archaeology (2014). These are reprints of articles and papers published by him at various places in India and outside over the past thirty-five years.
