Eardley Norton (1852-1931) was a barrister, politician, journalist, poet and raconteur, among other distinctions and skills. The Times (London) described him as the "foremost among Advocates in India". Many were the sensational cases, including the Alipore Bomb Case, a landmark event in the history of the Indian national struggle, in which he had appeared.
