The Face is the sixth solo exhibition of Peter Liew, one of Malaysia’s leading plein-air artists who works with oil painting in landscapes and cityscapes exclusively. Despites his painting styles, he is popularly known for his expressionist landscape and heritage building paintings. In 2015, he ventured beyond his usual territory and a new body of works. With large and thick layers of colour strokes, he started his impasto portraits of world famous people.
