Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941) and Romain Rolland (1866–1944) were two of the principal humanists of the twentieth century, who questioned the ideas of frontier and nationalism from their respective socio-political contexts. This volume, a record of the dialogue between Tagore and Rolland, is an attempt to see how they tried to bridge their milieus between the two World Wars.
