Tears of the sun is a fictional story that is based on the experiences of Emeka, a young man born into a rich family and Etom, a journalist who alongside his friend, a fellow journalist, witnessed one of the biggest bloodshed in the country’s history. The story talks about how people from different tribes and walks of life were affected by the riots that took place in the north and how many were forced to make decisions that changed their lives and believe prior to the outbreak of the civil war. Tears of the sun is a story of Love, betrayal, sacrifice and bloodbath, but most importantly, it preaches unity above all and brought to limelight, the sacrifices people made, all for a better country.
