This is a collection of poems, plays, precious documents with epic features about the Northern Border War (The Sino-Vietnamese War in 1979). The book is nearly 300 pages thick, with more than 30 selected works by more than 20 authors. Most of them are veterans who directly fought at the Lang Son Front nearly 40 years ago. Colonel Ngo Van Hoc, editor of the book, said: ''We want the content of this book to be true to the breath of historical moments 40 years ago, not to mix between old and new stories. Because we want readers, especially the younger generation to understand that the fierce and bloody circumstances of our father's national defense war 40 years ago are fully reflected in the book.''
