Protestantism was introduced to Vietnam in the late 19th and early 20th century. In the past decades, Protestantism has made remarkable progresses and changes, especially in the Northwest and Central Highlands regions. The growth and transformation of Protestantism affects society in both positive and negative directions. These trends have a significant impact on the economic, socio-cultural, political, security and national defense and environment life in Vietnam; especially in the context that both the world and Vietnam are moving towards sustainable development. This book outlines the transformations of Protestantism and analyzes its impacts on sustainable development in Vietnam today. From the research results, the authors give policy-oriented recommendations.
