A history of the state of Mandi, situated in Himachal Pradesh, India. Manmohan Singh employed the tools, whatever available to him, to dextrously weave the history of Mandi state in 1930. Besides history, the author has also reflected on the geography of the state, its people and their beliefs and customs. He was invited to take up this laborious work of writing the history of Mandi by the Raja of the time himself.
