This book is sectioned into three parts for easy understanding of the interrelationships between the various events. Section 1 talks of the Ekitiparapo War with the various roving battles fought from 1877 till the signing of treaties in 1886 and the final war cessation in 1893. Section 2 discusses Fabunmi and his post-war activities, and the final section deals with the 20th Century events that ushered in drastic changes to the belief system and development of the people. It gives great insights into the dramas that surrounded the advent of Islam and Christianity as well as the incursion of European education into Okemesi. All these are tied together in the courage and the conviction displayed in achieving the goals by the main players.
