Based on the colloquium held in Corum in 2018, this book provides answers to these questions. In addition to landscape and settlement patterns, there are settlements, housing and engineering structures, human remains, tombs and, lastly, most importantly, objects within a very wide range of subjects. Such a study is only possible with cooperation and an interdisciplinary approach. First, this book shows the potential that reflects the need for further exploration of the central Black Sea region and northern Central Anatolia during the Hellenistic-Roman Period. Differences are evident here compared to the Aegean and southern coasts of Anatolia, but more detailed analyzes will be possible in the future on the basis of more extensive data. A similar pattern applies to understanding the relationship between rural areas and urban centers such as Ankyra (Ankara).
