This is the first book to deeply explore and discuss aspects related to the management of key medieval monuments through the systematic collection, interpretation and analysis of all the Han Nom inscriptions recording the "Tao Le". Tao Le is the concept that refers to the working class and the type of land that is allowed by the feudal court to be exempt from taxes and labor to specialize in serving temples and shrines that are classified as national rituals worshiped by the imperial court. This concept appeared and developed from the Later Le period (1428 - 1788).
