Globally, labour working for capital, is largely unorganized. The Indian labour landscape is no exception to this situation. Historically, the trade Union movement in India has been grappling with this issue. However, it has not met with satisfactory success thus far due to various reasons. Therefore, around 94 percent of the Indian workforce employed in industry, the service sector, and agriculture are presently unorganized besides other employments and which is resulting to their socio-economic exclusion.
