The book explores a 1400 years history, culture, early migration, struggles and triumphs of the Ibibio up till it's present day. It touches on Ibibio's relationship with the Efik, Aros, Igbo and also the 15th century Aro-Ibibio war that drove the Ibibios out of Arochukwu to their present day.
