This book has been converted from the author’s PhD dissertation of the same name for a general readership with the help of professor Sudarshan Raj Tiwari. It deals with the status of open spaces in the traditional towns of the Kathmandu valley. The book discusses the Morphology and genesis of open spaces in the past within the traditional towns of the valley.
