A continuation of what Rashid began in "Riders on the Wind", this volume covers his writings between the years 1991 and 1997. Rashid shares with us parts of Pakistan's heritage that might be lost to us in a few years, some of which are already gone, including the house of Jahandad Khan, Zhob Valley Railway and the steam trains out of Malakwal. While his tone gives away the sorrow he feels at the loss of such important things, he has certainly played his part in bringing us closer to them. As he himself says, "Long after all these items are universally forgotten, they will remain in these pages for whoever may care to know about them". The volume is a wonderful piece of work on travels through Pakistan, and shall prove a worthy addition to anyone's collection.
