This book collects the key terms of Confucianism from the perspective of comparison between Chinese and Western philosophies. Each entry first gives the English equivalent, then uses Shuo Wen as the basis for exegesis, and finally interprets it in English in combination with Confucian classics. The purpose of this book is to correct the misreading of Chinese culture in the West. The author believes that: Chinese and Western thought traditions each have their own unique set of philosophical vocabulary, which is self-explanatory in their respective cultural semantic environments and cannot be directly translated into each other. In the process of mutual translation, there are a lot of cultural asymmetry misreading and misjudgment; (Religious Liturgy) etc. Therefore, it is difficult to achieve effective communication only by word-to-word translation.
