Poetry has been inseparable from calligraphy since ancient times. While introducing Chengdu poetry to foreign readers, this book embodies the integration of traditional art and modern forms of expression by highlighting the complementary beauty of calligraphy, painting and poetry. Tian Xuzhong, a calligrapher and former dean of the Chengdu Academy of Painting, displayed parts of his poems and works in five calligraphy styles: seal script, official script, cursive script, line script, and regular script. Associate Professor Tian Haisu, a young painter, drew illustrations for this book and designed the cover. The unique art style of this book is jointly created by the above-mentioned experts.
