Professor Zhang Zhizhong, the English translator of this book, has been engaged in the translation and research of Chinese-English poetry for more than 20 years, and came to the conclusion that poetry cannot be translated, but can only be recreated. Re-creation is manifested in two aspects: one is the language of translated poetry, and the other is the form of translated poetry. In terms of the language of the translated poems, the translator borrowed or adapted the expressions in English sentences in several places, endowing the translated poems with a mellow English flavor. In terms of poetic form, the English translation adopts the funnel style, which is the result of years of exploration by the translator and brings readers a novel aesthetic experience.
